Mumford and Sons Rookie Card? Topps and Lollapalooza Partner for Trading Cards

2013 Topps Lollapalooza Mumford and Sons 260x188 ImageTopps and Lollapalooza have partnered for a new music-focused set of trading cards intended to promote the summer festival. The promo set has 29 confirmed cards as well as a prize card, which are good for three-day passes.

Among the acts in the set are Mumford & Sons, The Killers, The Lumineers, Band of Horses and Vampire Weekend. All are among the singers and bands scheduled to perform at the three-day festival that runs August 2 to 4 at Chicago's Grant Park.

The Topps Lollapalooza trading cards were given out in wax packs at Wrigleyville outside of Wrigley Field during the Cubs' home opener on April 8. There's no word on if the cards will be available again or sold separately in the future.

Designs mimic old Topps baseball card designs, giving them the feel of a Topps Archives set.

With so few music-themed card sets produced today, these are first trading cards for most, if not all, of the bands in the set.

Both three-day and one-day 2013 Lollapalooza passes are sold out. More than 120 acts are scheduled to perform. Besides those in the 2013 Topps Lollapalloza trading card set, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Lana Del Ray and Queens of the Stone Age are all in the line-up.

  1. Hi – I am trying to find a way to purchase the cards. Can you help. Thanks – Andy

  2. Andy Levison ยป This set is going to be very tough to put together. eBay will likely be your best bet. We have current listing links at the end of the article. If none are showing up, it’s because none are listed at the moment.
