Topps has announced that they will add three more players to the Diamond Die Cut set currently being offered on the Diamond Giveaway. The categories of players will broken down into Legends, Veterans and Rookies and weekly fan voting will decide the three additions from 24 possible players.

This week's category is Legends and the head-to-head match-ups that will decide the final player include:

Round 1

  • Don Mattingly vs. Ryne Sandberg
  • Frank Robinson vs. Ozzie Smith
  • Reggie Jackson vs. Roberto Alomar
  • Frank Thomas vs. Johnny Bench

Player biographies and an image of the possible card is available for each player.

To place your vote, visit the Topps Facebook page. Voting will being each Monday and end the following Sunday.

The Die Cut voting option was not displayed when I accessed the Topps Facebook page. You must click on "more" under the page image on the left side. The link is called "Diecut Vote-In." Additionally, I was prompted to allow the site access to my Facebook info before I could even see the voting page.
