Muhammad Ali Trunks from First Joe Frazier Match to be Auctioned

Muhammad Ali Trunks ImageSCP Auctions has announced that Muhammad Ali's fight-worn trunks from his first boxing match against Joe Frazier will be included in their  Premier Auction this fall. Ali has signed the trunks three times on the white trim that lines the sides and inscribed them "First Frazier Fight, Muhammad Ali." The Everlast shorts are deep red/maroon crushed velvet and were gifted to his assistant, Drew Bundini Brown, after the fight as a present. The trunks were purchased from the Brown estate.

The Ali/Frazier fight was an iconic event remembered as the "Fight of the Century." Both boxers entered the fight on March 8, 1971 undefeated and the winner would be crowned the undisputed heavyweight champion. The fight went a full 15 rounds and Ali could not overcome "Smokin' Joe" and lost in a unanimous decision. The two would go on to fight two more times with Ali prevailing each time.
