Legendary Sports Card Sets: 1982 Wrestling All Stars Series A and B

Although Wrestling existed prior to 1980, it wasn't until the mid-80's that Wrestling truly captured the imagination of the American sports fan. Led by larger than life names like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Jesse "The Body" Ventura and "Andre the Giant", wrestling went from a traveling act to must see TV. Luckily for Wrestling fans, the "Wrestling News" magazine offered early 80's fans the opportunity to receive "wrestling cards" through a mail in offer. 1982 Wrestling All Stars Series A and B are considered by most to be the first standard Wrestling Card set. 1. I don't think this is the earliest true wrestling card set...what about the 1954 and 1955 Parkhurst wrestling card sets?

  2. @Mark: Good question, I think it is viewed as the first modern era wrestling set.

  3. This set rocks!!!!!!!!!

  4. How many of these sets are there?

  5. @Ev: not sure, due to the fact that they were mail order sets from a magazine I would suspect far less than the majority of cards.
