2010 Football Cards
The Green Bay Packers emerged as the 2010 NFL Champions, besting the Pittsburgh Steelers and preventing Steeler Nation from enjoying its second title in three season. The Packers won their first Super Bowl since the Brett Favre era, and helped Aaron Rodgers get the Favre “monkey” off his back. The rookie class was lead by Defensive Rookie of the Year, Ndamukong Suh, and Offensive Rookie of the Year, Sam Bradford. Of special note, Tim Tebow was a rookie in 2010 and continues to be hobby gold despite limited on-field success. HIs ravenous fanbase will likely provide extended value for his cards, even if his NFL career does not last.
Even though the 2010 rookie class is still on the young side, as a whole, this group seems to be plagued by inconsistency. Some of this is due to injuries or lack of playing time and some of this can be attributed to the NFL learning curve. Because of this, there is no clear-cut favorite among the rookie cards. In addition to Suh and Bradford, popular options include Dez Bryant, Rob Gronkowski, Tim Tebow, Jimmy Graham, Aaron Hernandez, CJ Spiller and Demaryius Thomas.
