The Cardboard Connection is Looking For Several New Writers To Add to Our Staff
As a result of our incredible rate of growth over the last 6 months we are looking to bring on several new writers to the site. We need writers to report on news stories, and write product reviews and editorials on the following topics: Sports Cards, Sports Memorabilia, Non-Sports Trading Cards, and Non-Sports Memorabilia.
Job Description:
- Gain national recognition as an industry expert by writing for the fastest growing trading card and memorabilia news publication in cyberspace!
- Get increased exposure for your blog, website, or forum. All non-paid writers are allowed to include a link to the site of their choosing at the bottom of every article published on the site!
- The Cardboard Connection's work is syndicated by several different news feed services, including the most prestigious of them all, Google News. As a writer for The Cardboard Connection, your contributions will show up in Google News alongside stories written by multimillion dollar publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and countless others.
- Occasional contributors to the site will not be paid. Daily contributors (Mon-Fri) to the site will be paid on a case by case basis on a scale commensurate with the quality and quantity of their work.
- Bonuses will be given out each month to the writers who write the site's 3 most popular stories (based on traffic statistic) for the month.
- You may have the opportunity to get free card products to review and keep.
- Pledge to post at least once every 2 weeks.
Who we are looking for:
- Collectors who share the same passion for collecting trading cards and memorabilia that we do.
- Good writers - You don't have to be a professional writer, or a high profile blogger, but you need do need to be able to string together coherent thoughts in a manner that is easy and enjoyable to read.
- People who are ready to grow with the site, and take personal pride and ownership in their work, as well as The Cardboard Connection itself.

- The body of the email should be about introducing yourself to us, and telling us why you feel you would be a good for the site. Relax and be yourself as this isn't a formal job interview, but rather a informal meet and greet. Include links to personal blogs, forum pages, or any other examples of your online writing/activities.
There is no specific date when we will stop taking applications. It all depends on the kind of response we get. But if you're a collector who has ever dreamed about blogging, we encourage you to give it a shot.
