Site Contest: Win a 2013 Bowman Inception Baseball Hobby Box

When Bowman Inception was first announced, the response from the collecting community was overwhelmingly positive. But Topps never could have envisioned just how popular this freshman product would be. 2013 Bowman Inception Baseball is a prospector's dream come true, featuring a multitude of autographs from the game's top prospects. It trims away the 1 color jersey cards and base and chrome prospect card fat and delivers the meat and potatoes of what most prospectors are looking for - officially licensed prospect autographs.

Topps seems to have found yet another sub-niche through which to leverage the Bowman brand to enrich the hobby for baseball card prospectors. At around $110 per hobby box, 2013 Bowman Inception has been one of the hottest, best selling products in the hobby, continuing it's run at #1 on the list of the Top 10 Best Selling Sports Card Hobby Boxes through the week of July 14 - 20. It finally moved down to #2 on the list in our most recent sales analysis for July 21 and July 27, ironically bested by the 3rd iteration of it's popular sister product, 2013 Topps Inception Football. However, it still remains the hottest prospect release of the year and shows no signs of leaving the top 10 anytime soon.

We want to give one lucky reader a free hobby box of this exciting new product. Because the only thing better then opening a box of a great new product is opening a free box of an great new product.

Mike Smeth is the CEO and Founder of The Cardboard Connection. After collecting baseball cards as a child, he took a 12-year hiatus from the hobby. One muggy summer day in 2006 he unexpectedly came across his childhood card collection while packing up for a move. He began sorting through them so he could sell them on Craigslist. Somewhere between the 3rd and 4th box, he rediscovered his passion for collecting and hasn't looked back since. You can find Mike on Google+ and Twitter @mikesmethcc.
