Santa Claus Autograph Signing at the National Courtesy of Cardboard Connection Radio
We've all heard of Christmas in July. But what about Christmas in August?
On August 7, the holiday season arrives five months early for some very lucky people in Chicago. Santa and his team of eight tiny reindeer will be flying to the National Sports Collectors Convention (NSCC) and stopping by the Cardboard Connection booth for a special appearance and some early holiday cheer from 1-3pm.
Whether your child wants to ask Santa for that special gift a few months early or you would like to beat the chaotic lines at the mall for your holiday photo, this is a special opportunity that even surprised Doug Cataldo, the host of Cardboard Connection Radio.
“We did a segment at the 2010 NSCC about Santa trading cards and it immediately sparked the interest of collectors in the vicinity," Cataldo said. “So, this year, we decided to go one step further and asked the man himself, Santa, if he would be willing to come to Chicago. To our sheer surprise and delight, he said yes! Apparently he was equally surprised by the response to our radio segment last year."
Santa is just part of the fun Cardboard Connection Radio is bringing to the National. Hosts Doug Cataldo, Rob Bertrand, Russ Cohen and two-time MLB All-Star Dmitri Young will broadcast live from the show throughout the week of August 3 to 7.
“Whether you want the opportunity to meet Hall of Fame athletes and A-list celebrities or you would like to see Santa, the NSCC and our booth hit a home run for every sports collector, fan and child this year," Mike Smeth, Cardboard Connection founder and CEO, explained. “In fact, we are already trying to decide how to top this next year. Let's just say it's proving to be hard!"

Obviously the national is over and I missed the opportunity to check you guys out and acquire santas auto for my kids. Is there anyway I can acquire a few?
