2012 Press Pass Fanfare Racing aims to get collectors' engines running with the promise of either an autograph or race-used memorabilia card in every pack. Combining NASCAR's Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series, the set is a comprehensive one, particularly for a high-end product.
Eight-pack boxes of 2012 Press Pass Fanfare Racing are split down the middle as to the hits they deliver. Four packs have an autograph while the other four have a memorabilia piece.
The autograph checklist is Press Pass' biggest of the year. The set also has many first-time signers. Darrell Wallace Jr, Ryan Blaney and Paulie Harraka are among the racers making their autograph card debut. Fanfare Autographs are the main signature set. Dual-Signed Fanfare Autographs focus on racing's family ties. Combinations include Kurt and Kyle Busch, Ty and Austin Dillon, Jeb and Ward Burton, and Martin and Ryan Truex. Young Guns Autographs carry a name that's familiar with many collectors. These signature cards highlight some of NASCAR's most promising youngsters. Autographs are available in four levels of rarity.
Press Pass continues to use tons of different memorabilia combinations with their racing cards. Continuing with the theme of a large and varied checklist, collectors can look for single- and dual-swatch Magnificent Materials cards. All memorabilia cards have race-used items. A limited numbered of autographed memorabilia cards are also in the set.
The 2012 Press Pass Fanfare Racing base set has 100 cards. Collectors can also look for serial-numbered and die-cut parallels: Holo Foil Die Cut, Blue Foil Die Cut (retail-exclusive), Silver Foil (#/25), Sapphire Foil (#/20, Power Pack-exclusive) and Diamond Die Cut (#/5, Power Pack-exclusive). Basic inserts in 2012 Press Pass Fanfare Racing include Showtime (ten cards) and Power Rankings (15 cards).
