The future looks strong for Yoenis Cespedes cards and memorabilia. The Cuban slugger made an immediate impact upon starting for the Oakland Athletics, hitting three home runs in his first five games.
Playing for Cuba at the 2009 World Baseball Classic, collectors already have a handful of Yoenis Cespedes cards to chase. However, it will be his official 2012 rookie cards that will garner much of the attention through his first season in the majors. Topps has announced that there will be several different autographed Yoenis Cespedes cards in their 2012 products, beginning with 2012 Bowman Baseball. Collectors can also expect plenty of different Yoenis Cespedes rookie cards at all price ranges.
Cespedes' knack for the long ball should make him popular with collectors, particularly if he continues to hit towering shots like his first two. The speedy outfielder should prove to be exciting to watch. The highlight reels that follow him will enable him to garner widespread attention, even playing for the small market Oakland Athletics.
It is worth noting that Cespedes' World Baseball Classic cards show a different spelling for his first name - Yoennis.

Yoenis Cespedes rookie cards will be released throughout the 2012 season. However, he did have several Topps cards produced in 2009 due to his participation in the World Baseball Classic. These cards are inserts and should not be considered official rookie cards. Those will come in 2012 baseball sets.
