Let's be honest. The market for tennis cards pales in comparison to any of the big four sports. But variety is part of what makes the modern hobby so enjoyable. With three hits per pack, including two autographs, 2012 Ace Authentic Grand Slam 3 Tennis serves up a niche product for hardcore court collectors.

The 2012 Ace Authentic Grand Slam 3 autograph lineup focuses largely on the game's current greats. Falling two out of every three packs, Grand Slam Champion cards have signatures from the winners of tennis' biggest tournaments. Collectors not content with just one autograph can look for Dual and Triple Grand Slam Champion cards, which are inserted seven or eight per ten-box case. Other autograph sets include Grand Slam Finalist (single, dual and triple versions), Jr. Grand Slam Champion and Prospects and Contenders. Although other autographs use stickers,  Hard Sigs, which fall 1:3 packs, go the old-fashioned route and are signed directly on the card.

Foil variations and parallels further add to the limited nature of individual autograph cards. Purple Foil are the most common cards, but there are still less than 50 of each. Red Foil means a production of less than 30 while Green Foil are less than 20. Blue Foil are the toughest autographs, limited to less than ten copies each.

Tennis players aren't the only autographs in 2012 Ace Authentic Grand Slam 3. The release also has cut signature autographs from celebrities and other athletes.

Match-used memorabilia cards range from one swatch all the way up to four. They mix pieces of clothing, tennis balls and even clay from the Roland Garros court where the French Open is played.

Packs also have random art cards, which are inserted three or four per case.

2012 Ace Authentic Grand Slam 3 has a limited print run of 110 ten-box cases. This translates into a total of 6,600 packs.
