According to a recent survey done by Sports Business Daily, Yankees Captain Derek Jeter is baseball's most marketable player. Jeter earned nearly 80% of first place votes and appeared on 47 of 49 ballots. The survey included corporate brand managers, marketing and branding executives, agencies, and baseball media.   3. @Ben Barron: I wondered the same thing, how would Dustin Pedroia be more marketable than Heyward?

  4. @Brett J. Lewis: The only reason that I can think of is the cities where they play. I suppose Boston is a bigger market than the Atl. However When you sell Heyward its not just in the Atlanta market. It’s the entire southeastern region seeing as how we really only have one mlb team (excluding marlins and rays).
