Tim Tebow 1/1 Topps Chrome Superfractor Autograph Hits Auction Block
When the dust settles on the 2010 baseball card season, the biggest story will likely belong to the epic journey of Stephen Strasburg's 2010 Bowman Chrome Superfractor. The rare one of one that captured the attention of both the collecting world and mainstream media. The 1/1 Strasburg's first trip to eBay commanded over 10,000 watchers and a final sale price of over $16,000. Recently one of 2010's biggest football rookies had his superfractor debut on eBay.
Although Tim Tebow's status as the #1 football hobby rookie isn't as concrete as it was several months ago, the Florida Gator legend and current Denver Broncos backup Quarterback is still one of the card world's biggest curiosities. Yesterday, a Tim Tebow 2010 Topps Chrome 1/1 Superfactor Auto hit the auction block on eBay. Currently the Tebow Superfactor is up to $315 with a little over 9 days remaining on the auction.
The chances of the Tebow Superfractor entering the "Strasburg-o-sphere" are little to none, as football card collectors are historically fickle when it comes to big time cards when compared to the hobbies deep pocketed baseball card collectors. That's not to say the collector selling it won't make a couple thousand, as it's probably a safe bet to sell for $1,000-$5,000.
*The seller listed it as a "Gold Auto" but it is indeed a "Superfractor".
