Texas Collector Redeems First 2010 Playoff Contenders Golden Ticket
When opening a hobby box of 2010 Playoff Contenders Football, the first thing you notice resting on top of your 24-packs is a tiny, yellowish gold note. The regal note trumpets the presence of rare one of kind Golden Ticket cards:
Well, after Contenders first full day on the market, the first of 52 Golden Tickets has been redeemed. Longtime collector Michael Keller was man lucky enough to have his note read like a self fulfilling prophecy.
Keller, who lives in Lewisville, Texas, pulled the Mark Sanchez Golden Ticket redemption card during a group break of Playoff Contenders at SMP Sportscards in Grapevine, Texas, Wednesday night.
Other Golden Ticket redemptions have surfaced, including an Aaron Rodgers that is currently up to $1,025 with a little more than 4 days to go on eBay. In addition to that one, a Brett Favre was pulled in New York and a Troy Aikman in New Hampshire. That means there's an estimated 48 Golden Tickets left for the picking.
