Penn State Produces Unorthodox Set of Trading Cards

The Associated Press reports that Pennsylvania State University has produced a new trading card set that features the university's top faculty members and researchers. The trading card set features 10 of the university's most celebrated academic staff members that are unrelated to its sports programs. The full color cards have all been printed in high gloss. The Penn State Alumni Association footed the bill to have 3,000 packs of the trading cards produced. The cards are not available for sale and can only be had through participation various on campus contests and giveaways - especially at tailgate parties during home football games.

Some of the subjects depicted in the set include a Nobel Prize winning researcher, an anthropologist, a physicist, and a nutritionist.
