The Philadelphia Sportscard & Memorabilia Show has been bringing top dealers and autograph guests to Pennsylvania for more than 30 years. Local stars have always been popular draws, and that's true now more than ever since the Phillies are coming off back-to-back trips to the World Series.
Two prominent members of the 2009 National League champion squad, ace pitcher Cliff Lee and center fielder Shane Victorino, will be on hand for the latest Philly Show on December 4-6. They'll be joined at the Valley Forge Convention Center by some of the city's baseball legends, including Mike Schmidt, Steve Carlton and Pete Rose.
Signing fees vary, but Carlton stands out as a bargain at just $39 for flat items or balls and $49 for caps, bats and jerseys. Several other former Phils, like Keith Moreland and Todd Pratt, will sign one free autograph per paid admission.
Dozens of card and memorabilia dealers will be set up on the show floor, along with representatives from PSA and Hunt Auctions, the company that assumed control of the show last fall. New for December is a Louisville Slugger booth, where visitors can purchase customizable authentic baseball bats engraved with their own names or messages.
Hours for the 103rd edition of the Philly Show are 5 pm to 9 pm on Friday, 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 9 am to 4 pm on Sunday. Tickets cost $7 per day or $18 for the entire weekend.
