Firestorm of Lehman Brothers Memorabilia Hits eBay
Following the recent demise of Lehman Brothers former employees of the company are turning in droves to eBay in an effort to sell their various Lehman Brothers memorabilia. As the largest bankruptcy in the history of the United States, Lehman Brothers could have a special place in history for years to come. Some memorabilia collectors have already been whipped into a buying frenzy for Lehman Brothers items.
One former employee put his Lehman Brothers Fire Safety Team Hat on the auction block, touting it as a limited edition "piece of Financial History". The hats original purpose was to direct Lehman employees out of the building during a fire, and it is unknown how many were produced. At this time last week the seller of the hat would've been lucky to get $.99 for the hat. As it stands now, the hat has attracted eight bidders and bidding has already surpassed the $31 mark with 5 days still remaining in the auction.
Another former employee put a Lehman Brothers White T-shirt on the auction block, describing it as a "Brand new White Lehman T-Shirt, 100% authentic, purchased from bank". With just under a day left in the auction the T-shirt has garnered the attention of 15 bidders and currently has a high bid of $71.
Another monumental company failure that has elicited the interest of the memorabilia community is Enron. Enron declared bankruptcy almost seven years ago, but Enron memorabilia still continues to draw interest from collectors. One ebay seller listed a pair of Enron Coffee Mugs, which they describe as "wonderful and valuable collectors items". With three days left in the auction the high bid has already reached $27 per coffee mug.

I am very interested in buying some
business cards of employees of the former Lehman Brothers investment firm. there must have been boxloads of them just sitting around after Lehman's demise. Failing that, if anyone knows who the supplier or printer of the Lehman's stationary/cards was, could you let me know? I'm in NY til sunday july 10, 2011 and would love to get few cards.
