Late yesterday, an Iowa newspaper reported that a well known local Sports Card Shop in Des Moines had been the target of a con man who defrauded them of more then $8,000 in Sports Cards. The perpetrator, who has yet to be identified, made 2 separate purchases from Chuck's Sports Card Plus within days of one another. The man purchased sports cards valued at $5,800 from the card shop on Aug. 30, and then returned two days later to purchase additional cards which were estimated to be worth over $2,260.
