Autograph Updates and Dealer Promotions for the National
As the National in Chicago, running August 3-7, gets closer, more information continues to emerge.
First, wrestlers Kurt Angle (also the 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist), Ric Flair, Mr. Anderson and Tara have been added to the TriStar Autograph Pavilion. Also, there is sad news to report as former baseball player and manager, Dick Williams, who was scheduled to sign autographs on August 5th, passed away on July 7th.
In other news, several vendors have released information about the promotions they are offering:
Dave and Adam's Card World
Dave and Adam's Card World is offering free daily admission to The National for collectors who spend over $75 on their website. Traditionally Dave and Adam's offers free cards as bonuses, but now daily passes have been included as an option as well.
Baseball Card Exchange / PSA
The Baseball Card Exchange is partnering with PSA to offer a deal on card grading at the National. Any unopened cards purchased and busted at the BBCE booth are eligible for an on-site PSA grading deal of $15 per card (minimum of five cards). This is a significant mark down from the normal $35 per card on-site price. BBCE will place the cards in semi-rigid holders and personally submit the cards to PSA for grading. Once encapsulated, the cards will be available for pickup at the BBCE booth. If they are not finished in time to be picked up at the convention, BBCE will cover the shipping costs to have them mailed.
PSA will also be handing out a limited supply of 24" x 32" Babe Ruth posters.
