Need Some Cards Graded? Don’t Miss These Great Deals.

With the dog days of summer behind us and fall rapidly drawing near, collectors await the changing of a different kind of season - the sports season. Baseball collectors can smell the first hint of postseason ball in the air as the MLB Regular Season draws to a close, while football collectors welcome the sight of NFL preseason action by clamoring to purchase the first wave of 2009 football card releases. Hockey and basketball collectors also wait in anticipation as their respective seasons draw closer. Regardless of what sports you collect, August is the season for card grading.

Card grading isn't for everyone collector, but is a great option for collectors who are looking to invest in, authenticate, or merely preserve key trading card singles. Graded sports cards are almost invariably more valuable then their ungraded counterparts (some times exponentially so), provided they receive a high grade from a reputable card grading company.

The two most highly respected card grading companies in the industry are Professional Sports Authentications (PSA) and Beckett Grading Services (BGS). Both of these card grading heavyweights are currently offering fantastic deals on their core sports card grading services.

The highlights of both company's discount promotions are listed below:

About the Author

Mike Smeth is the Owner of The Cardboard Connection. After collecting baseball cards for much of his youth, he took a 12-year hiatus from the hobby. One muggy summer day in 2006 he unexpectedly came across his childhood baseball card collection while packing up for an upcoming move. With every intention of selling them on Craigslist, Mike set the cards aside and began sorting through them to list. Somewhere between the 3rd and 4th box, he rediscovered his passion for collecting sports cards and memorabilia, and hasn't looked back since.
