The Daily Show: Panini Launches NFL Player of the Day Program
Panini's NFL Player of the Day (POD) program is back for its twelfth consecutive year. The premise of the promotion involves awarding prizes to collectors who buy 2011 NFL Panini products and pull the designated player of the day or a wild card. Every team will be highlighted at some point during the program, with rookies Mark Ingram and Cam Newton acting as wild cards.
Prizes include:
- Special packs of Panini America cards
- An exclusive Panini America NFL POD 18-card set
- Exclusive NFL POD autograph cards
- Reebok NFL POD T-shirts
The promotion takes place at over 500 hobby shops between now and November 30th. View the official site of the contest to find participating stores.
Each week, one daily winner from each shop will be picked as a weekly winner and receive a special prize. At the end of the promotion, participating stores will select one collector as their grand prize winner who will receive an exclusive autograph card.
The grand prize winners can be entered in the national sweepstakes for the chance to win additional prizes. Finally, one collector will be selected as the national grand prize winner and receive a package that includes a $250 shopping spree and the opportunity to spend a day with an NFL player. The player will attend a private party at the winner's house and a free autograph session at the winner's local card shop.
