Terrelle Pryor’s First Football Cards and Negro League Signing at the National
Two more announcements were made today regarding events at the upcoming 2011 National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago.
Panini VIP Sets
Panini has announced their plans for the show, which include the first trading card of former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor.
Collectors who purchase VIP tickets for the National will receive a set of four cards featuring Panini exclusive basketball players Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, John Wall and Blake Griffin. The cards will be found in the VIP gift bag given to ticket holders upon admittance to the show. Bags will also have a coupon for two additional mystery cards redeemable at the Panini booth.
Meanwhile, Super VIPs will receive the same set as VIPs as well as a coupon that can be exchanged for a second six-card set. The set will feature current NFL rookies Mark Ingram, A.J. Green, Blaine Gabbert and Jake Locker. Pryor marks the sixth card in the Super VIP set. The card will be the first for the disgraced former Buckeyes standout. The cards use the 2011 Donruss Elite Football design.
Both the mystery cards and NFL set can be redeemed at the Panini booth at any point during the convention, which runs August 3 to 7.
