Pretty in Pink: NFL Raises Funds for Breast Cancer with Game-Used Gear

The NFL has announced that special pink gear worn by players throughout October will be auctioned to raise money for breast cancer awareness. The campaign, called "A Crucial Catch," is a partnership between the NFL and the American Cancer Society.

Starting yesterday and continuing throughout the month, players, coaches and referees will all be outfitted in pink variations of game apparel including headbands, wristbands, cleats, chin straps, shoelaces and towels. The league will also use on-field pink ribbon stencils, special game balls and pink coins.

The auction is already live with items from previous seasons and more will be added throughout the month. Visit the official NFL auction site to view the items and place your bid. Currently, a Jay Cutler game-used jersey from last season leads the bidding.
