Hair-larious: Troy Polamalu Signs First Cards Since 2003

Panini let their hair down today, announcing that Troy Polamalu has signed his first football cards in nearly a decade. Among them are his first-ever on-card signatures.

Polamalu is one of the NFL's most recognizable faces, in large part because of his unmistakable mane of hair that's so big it bursts out from under his helmet. The hair has made him the face of several commercials, most notably for Head & Shoulders hair products. The fact that he's also one of the most feared defensive players in the game doesn't hurt either.

The six-time Pro Bowler's autographs will be included in several of Panini's remaining 2011 football sets including  Absolute Memorabilia, Panini Crown Royale and Certified.

Polamalu's only other autograph cards came from his rookie season in 2003, signing for 2003 Playoff Contenders Football and 2003 Rookies & Stars Football.

Today, he continues to build sets, go after inserts with cool technologies, chase Montreal Expos and finish off his John Jaha master collection.
