Dreams Inc announced Monday it has acquired the assets of StarStruck/Proteam, a Connecticut-based sports memorabilia catalog company. This acquisition will allow Dreams to enter into the catalog business, which, it said, is something customers have been asking for.
“Purchasing StarStruck presented the company with the perfect opportunity for expansion, with more than 10 years of experience in catalog-focused retail and more than a three-million customer base,” said Kevin Bates, Dreams' retail president and founder of FansEdge, one of several companies owned by Dreams.
Star Struck/ProTeam is one of the largest catalog and Internet retailers of licensed major and minor league merchandise in the United States. The company also produces the official catalog for the New York Mets, Baltimore Orioles, Pittsburgh Pirates and Tampa Bay Rays.
