BGS 9.5 1986-87 Fleer Basketball Card Set Up for Auction
A 1986-87 Fleer Basketball set that was over four-and-a-half years in the making, will be sold on eBay through Beckett Select Auctions. All 132 cards in the set are graded 9.5 by Beckett Grading Services (BGS), including the rookie cards of Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, Clyde Drexler and Patrick Ewing.
The collector who is selling the set personally obtained all the cards and did not plan to sell his collection. However, a personal matter has forced him to. The accumulation of the complete set graded at 9.5 is that much more amazing when combined with low population reports for many of the cards. Over half the set is limited to 20 or less cards that have ever been graded a 9.5 by BGS, and 20 of the cards are even harder to find with 12 or less at that rating.
