Wednesday morning The Topps Company unveiled their picks for the 51st annual Topps MLB Rookie All-Star Team. The 2009 Topps Rookie All-Star Team is as follows:

3B Gordon Beckham, Chicago (A.L.) (103, 14, 63, .270)
SS Elvis Andrus, Texas (145, 6, 40, .267)
OF Chris Coghlan, Florida (128, 9, 47, .321)
OF Andrew McCutchen, Pittsburgh (108, 12, 54, .286)

Each of these players will appear in 2010 Topps Series 1 Baseball with the familiar Topps Rookie All-Star seal adorning their cards.
The Topps Major League Rookie All-Star team began in 1959. Over the last half century, an impressive 16 Hall of Famers were named to the squad as rookies. The list of past Topps Rookie-All Star selections who went on to be immortalized in Cooperstown includes Cal Ripken Jr., Tom Seaver, Rod Carew, Ozzie Smith, Willie McCovey, Johnny Bench, Gary Carter, Carlton Fisk, Paul Molitor, Joe Morgan, Eddie Murray, Tony Perez, Kirby Puckett, Jim Rice, Billy Williams, and Ryne Sandberg.
The Major League Rookie All-Star Team is one of a number of awards programs by Topps to reward and encourage young ballplayers. Since 1959, Topps has annually bestowed honors on minor leaguers, baseball scouts and the Baseball Organization of the Year.
