Stephen Strasburg Autographs Added to 2011 Bowman Sterling Baseball
Before the first comeback pitch is thrown, Topps is already mapping out their Stephen Strasburg battle plan. They've announced that they're including autographs of the returning Nationals pitcher in 2011 Bowman Sterling Baseball. One collector will also find a redemption card for a chance to meet Strasburg.
Twenty-five autograph cards are being inserted in packs with Strasburg pictured making his MLB return. An additional 25 redemptions will be good for an autographed ball.
Tonight, Strasburg pitches for the Nationals for the first time in about a year. He's returning from Tommy John surgery to repair ligaments in his arm. Prior to the injury, the 2009 first overall draft pick was a sensation on the field, at the MLB ticket office and in the world of baseball cards.
2011 Bowman Sterling Baseball is scheduled for release a few days before Christmas.
