Rosenblatt Stadium Seats and Commemorative Bricks Raise Money for Zoo
As we previously reported, the Omaha Zoo Foundation purchased Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium, the site of the NCAA College World Series for 60 years, in an effort to expand. Seats from the historic venue are now on sale to fans and collectors. Money raised will benefit the "Infield at the Zoo" addition at the Omaha Zoo. Season ticket holders had first dibs on the seats but now the sale is open to the public.
Interested fans can visit the Omaha Zoo Foundation's website for further details on the sale. Pairs of red, yellow and blue seats, which include the foot pedestals, are available on a first come, first served basis. The cost is $250 per pair plus $89 for shipping. Buyers have their choice of seat color. Unfortunately for those who live close to Omaha, there is not an option to pick up the seats at the venue to avoid shipping costs.
For those with a smaller budget, commemorative bricks are also available. The bricks cost $35 and can either be picked-up at the stadium or shipped for an extra $15.
