More Matt Moore for Baseball Card Collectors

Despite the early exit by the Tampa Bay Rays, Matt Moore enjoyed a good postseason run. Following his Game 1 masterpiece, interest in his cards soared. Based on his postseason success and growing number of followers, Topps took to Twitter to announce that Moore will have an on-card autograph in the upcoming 2011 Bowman Chrome Baseball, which is scheduled to hit stores on October 19th.

Collectors should note that the card will not be his official rookie card as it is a part of the Prospects insert checklist. However, it's still bound to be one of the hottest cards in the set. Moore's fully licensed rookie cards will likely be a major part of early season 2012 releases.

  1. I just bought a topps 2011 retail value box for fun yesterday, real piece of junk but it included one pack of bowman chrome hobby and to my shock I actually pulled a Matt Moore auto numbered to 500 I did some research on him last night and saw that he just just got signed and found similar cards selling for as low as $40 but now the price is growing by the hour with some listings as high as $180 all ungraded as of a few minutes ago, I wonder if it’s worth holding onto at least until spring training or if the price will go down just as quickly as it rose, it’s a nice card and I might get it graded depending on how the market is for them in the future.
