2014 Upper Deck Guardians of the Galaxy Autographs Gallery and Guide

Guardians of the Galaxy revolves around a band of outcasts and ruffians who go on to do good. The 2014 Upper Deck Guardians of the Galaxy Autographs take a similar approach, featuring several key signers who, until now, have been left out of other sets.

Leading the way is Chris Pratt, one of Hollywood's hottest actors. Besides playing Star-Lord in Guardians, he voiced Emmet in The Lego Movie, one of 2014's early blockbusters. Up next for Pratt? Just the lead in a little dinosaur movie called Jurassic World.

Before this year, Pratt was best known for playing Andy on TV's Parks and Recreation. And while Press Pass landed some big autographs for the show, Pratt was one of the few noticeable actors not on the final list.

An even more surprising autograph debut in 2014 Upper Deck Guardians of the Galaxy is Dave Bautista (Drax). As Batista, he was a multi-time WWE champion. Yet, despite regular WWE releases from Topps, he has not had an autograph card until now.

The first-time signers don't end there. Glenn Close doesn't do many movies that are trading card material. A regular Academy Award nominee in the 1980s, she played Nova Prime in Guardians. Also signing for the first time in a licensed set is Djimon Hounsou (Korath) and Karen Gillan (Nebula).

2014 Upper Deck Guardians of the Galaxy has four more actors who have signed previously. To track down the only other Zoe Saldana (Gamora) autographed trading card you have to go back to 2009 Rittenhouse Star Trek. Michael Rooker (Yondu Udonta) has a pair of autographs in 2011 Cryptozoic Walking Dead Season 1. Lee Pace (Ronan) recently signed for 2014 Cryptozoic The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

The two biggest omissions from the 2014 Upper Deck Guardians of the Galaxy Autographs list are Vin Diesel (Groot) and Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon). Part of Hollywod's A-list, it really shouldn't be too much of a surprise. However, both do have autograph cards from a while back. Diesel appeared in 2004 Rittenhouse Chronicles of Riddick. Cooper's signature can be found in 2002 Inkworks Alias Season 1.

Besides basic Actor Autographs, 2014 Upper Deck Guardians of the Galaxy has six dual autographs that pair up the same eight signers. All also have Cosmic Strings Autographs, which are signed memorabilia cards.
