2014 Topps How to Train Your Dragon 2 Trading CardsBrand: Topps Entertainment
Although the first film failed to generate a set, 2014 Topps How to Train Your Dragon trading cards make up for lost time. Aimed primarily at young and casual collectors, the product includes a simple mix of base cards and interactive inserts. And dragon "autographs."
The 2014 Topps How to Train Your Dragon 2 base set has 100 total cards. Sixty story cards tell the plot of the animated sequel. There are also ten cards focusing on the characters and another 30 dedicated to the movie's many colorful dragons.
Every pack includes one insert, most of which are intended to be used or played with. Five Punch-Out Constructibles let collectors build their own dragon. Location Cards (ten cards) offer tidbits on the film's setting, the village of Berk. Rider's Licenses (ten cards) are designed to look like a fictional driver's license, only for dragons instead of cars. Five Dragon Autographs feature footprints from key dragons. Other inserts include Foil Character Cards (ten cards), Temporary Tattoos (ten cards) and Stickers (20 cards).
Besides regular packs, 2014 Topps How to Train Your Dragon 2 also has jumbo packs. Each has a sticker, a Rider's License and one of two jumbo pack-exclusive cards.
There's also a starter kit that comes with a small binder, two regular packs and six exclusive cards not available anywhere else.
