2014 Cryptozoic Ender’s Game Trading CardsBrand: Cryptozoic
While the film might not have been the blockbuster some were hoping for, 2014 Cryptozoic Ender's Game trading cards have some big things happening for it, the biggest one being Harrison Ford.
The base set has a total of 72 cards that recap the film. Because the set comes out after the film's initial run helps Cryptozoic cover more ground than it might have been able to releasing it during its theatrical run. Originally a popular novel by Orson Scott Card, Ender's Game is set in a future where humans and aliens are at war. It focuses on a group of children training to be fighters.
Every box of 2014 Cryptozoic Ender's Game comes with both and Autograph and either a Prop or Wardrobe Card. The set also has randomly inserted Replica Army Patch cards.
The big signer is Harrison Ford (Colonel Graff), who has committed to signing. Not only is he one of the most popular actors of the last half century, but his signature is rather rare. While Ford has signed for a few sets already, those cards have been extremely tough to find and command huge amounts.
Others committed to signing for the set include Asa Butterfield (Ender Wiggin), Jimmy 'Jax' Pinchak (Peter Wiggin) and, somewhat ironically, Han Soto (Lieutenant Soto).
Wardrobe and Prop Cards come with pieces of movie memorabilia embedded in them.
2014 Cryptozoic Ender's Game has a pair of basic inserts. Both focus on characters. International Fleet looks at the human characters while Formic cards spotlight the alien antagonists. Both of these inserts land two per box.
