2013-14 Upper Deck The Cup brings the double-rookie class full circle. This product set the company bar for high-end hockey. The sport's answer to Exquisite, it's loaded with low-numbered autographs and premium memorabilia pieces.

Rookie Autograph Patch rookie cards come in two tiers. Level 1 cards are numbered to 249. Level 2, which is traditionally where the top players are found, are limited to 99 copies each. On top of these there are parallels that use premium tags and Gold Foil variations that lose the memorabilia but have a premium-style border.

Similar to the rookies, base cards come with upgraded parallels as well. Among them are autographed patch and tag versions.

Autographs take the spotlight in a handful of rare inserts. Program of Excellence continues a long-running theme of Team Canada standouts. Brilliance and Rookie Brilliance use a shadow box approach. The cards are super-thick, using 360-pt. stock. Signature Renditions have an artistic flair.

Book cards have different combinations of autographs and memorabilia from both single and multiple-players. Rookie Gear has an autograph on one panel to go with four swatches on the other. Dual Auto Rookie Bookmarks have signatures and memorabilia from a pair of standout rookies. Autographed Monumental Patch cards, which come with both rookie and veteran checklists, come signed and have a pair of jumbo patches.
