2012 Upper Deck Exquisite Football has 30 different Rookie Autograph Patch cards. They combine to fall one per box. Part of the main set, the first 23 (#121-143) are considered to Tier 2 players. All are numbered to 150. Parallels are numbered to 50. The final seven cards are Tier 1. They are tougher to find, numbered to 99 copies each. Parallels are also in shorter supply, limited to 40 numbered copies. Other than Russell Wilson, most of the top players are in Tier 1. All 30 cards also have a one-of-one Spectrum parallel.

All Rookie Autograph Patch cards have on-card signatures. The jersey isn't game-used. Rather it comes from a photo shoot. The idea is to offer a compelling swatch that looks great, something that's consistent across all Exquisite Rookie Patch Autographs.

Although not official NFL rookie cards as a result of Upper Deck's NCAA license, these cards will still bring some of the highest prices of all 2012 football cards. Since gaining exclusive NCAA rights, the card maker has created something of a new market for high-quality college-themed cards. As a result, they have much more widespread collector acceptance than a lot of other NCAA-themed products.
