2012 Topps Update Series Baseball Blockbusters Patch Cards Guide

2012 Topps Update Series Blaster Box 229x300 ImageA running theme through several 2012 Topps Update Series Baseball inserts are big transactions. Blockbusters is a basic insert in the release. Collectors can also look for autographed and game-used versions. Retail blaster boxes also have exclusive 2012 Topps Update Series Baseball Blockbusters Patch Cards.

Each has a large hat logo patch from the team the player was traded to or signed with. These aren't game-used relics. Rather, they're manufactured embroidered patch cards.

The 30-card checklist is mostly current players, although there are retired players as well. Ichiro is the most recent transaction, as his mid-season trade to the Yankees is shown on the card. Other 2012 free agent signings and swaps are alson in the Blockbusters Patch Card set. These include Albert Pujols, Jose Reyes, Yu Darvish and Yoenis Cespedes.
