2012 Bowman Baseball Chrome Prospect Autographs Gallery and Guide

Whenever a set comes out with the Bowman name, collectors can almost always guarantee that prospects and autographs are the focal points. This is true once again with 2012 Bowman Baseball, which seems to have more ink than ever. Among the most popular signatures in the set are the 2012 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autographs. The set boasts a checklist of 38 players, including eight first round picks from the 2011 draft.

With the line between prospect cards and official rookie cards blurred, for many players these are their first Bowman autographs featuring them in a MLB uniform. These generate some of the most long-term interest and consistent prices. Because these are inserts, they are not official rookies in the technical sense. However, they still do very well on the secondary market.

The 2012 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autographs are inserted in 2012 Bowman Baseball hobby and jumbo boxes. Retail packs have their own set of base Bowman Prospect Autographs. Each have their own checklist and sets of parallels. Also, the 2012 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autographs feature on-card signatures. Retail Bowman Prospect Autographs use sticker autographs. Combined with Bowman Chrome Rookie Card Autographs, at least one Chrome signature falls in every box.

Collectors not content with just a regular signature can any of the 2012 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autographs numbered parallels: Refractors (#/500), Blue Refractors (#/150), Gold Refractors (#/50), Orange Refractors (#/25), Red Refractors (#/10), and Superfractors (1/1). Jumbo boxes also have exclusive Purple Refractors that are numbered to 10 and Printing Plates.

Below is a complete gallery of all 38 2012 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autographs found in 2012 Bowman Baseball. We have also included team info and their draft year and position.
