There's little disputing that Yu Darvish is playing a huge role in driving 2012 Bowman Baseball sales. With several of his cards having sold for four figures, the Japanese sensation is generating a lot of excitement with collectors.
However, with more than a dozen different 2012 Bowman Baseball Yu Darvish cards to chase, the result can be a little confusing. This is especially true since Darvish has some quirks that don't affect other players in the set. Darvish does not have a regular Chrome Refractor numbered to 500. Instead, he has 250 numbered Blue Refractors rather than the 150 everyone else does. Darvish is also the only rookie-themed Paper autograph inserted in retail packs. There are no 2012 Bowman Baseball Yu Darvish Paper Autograph parallels.
For those chasing Darvish's Bowman Chrome autographs and the many Refractor parallels, they are only available in hobby and jumbo packs.
