2011 NHL Draft Exclusive Hockey Cards and Collectibles
Both Panini and Upper Deck were at the 2011 NHL Draft in Minnesota, offering collectors exclusive hockey cards, autograph signings and other swag. Of particular note was Upper Deck's Saturday autograph appearance with Brent Burns. Burns, a member of the Wild, was traded the previous day to the San Jose Sharks. This made the signing a farewell for local fans. It also provided a notable collectible for those who were able to make it and get a signed copy of the exclusive over-sized Burns card from the event. Panini had two different packs of exclusive Pinnacle cards for their own wrapper redemption. The first was a mix of the NHL's top stars. The other put the spotlight on past and present players who played in Minnesota, either with the Wild or the North Stars. In a separate redemption program, Panini also had Score cards of Mikko Koivu and Cal Clutterbuck.
