The 2001 Bowman Baseball card set is arguably the best modern Bowman set ever produced thanks to rookie cards of Albert Pujols, Justin Morneau and Jose Reyes. The base rookie cards alone command significant sales prices on the secondary market, but its the autographed rookie cards - particularly Albert Pujols' #BA-AP - that really set this apart from any of Topps' previous Bowman installments. In Pristine Mint 10 condition, Pujol's Bowman Auto RC sells for about $3,000 on the secondary market.
This was the first year that Topps incorporated Futures Game Jersey Relic cards in Bowman. However these cards have never enjoyed any particularly large degree of popularity with collectors, who are far more focused on the autographs that Bowman has to offer.
